We’re Stronger Together

Hello, Eligible Family,

Over the last three months, I’ve had powerful conversations with couples in thriving relationships. While each couple is different and they all face issues, the common theme is a shared commitment to working together.

I’ve also talked with several single Black men and women who are navigating life after divorce, loss of a spouse or who are single and searching for a partner. While it’s true that Black adults are statistically more likely to be divorced or never married than other groups, one thing is clear. The vast majority of the Black men and women I meet desire a long-term, committed relationship. Add to this the improved wealth, health and long term family outcomes that come from healthy committed relationships, and I wonder…where’s the disconnect?

If the desire for love is there, why are so many still single?
Why aren’t we excelling in an area that has so many long term benefits?

Join us for our upcoming Soul Food Sunday Conversations where we’ll explore these questions and gain insights from relationship experts and successful couples, like Stacy and Tracy Fields. Our first event kicks off on Sunday, June 22nd in Spartanburg.

We also want to hear directly from you. We need one hundred single (divorced, widowed, never married) Black men in the Upstate to complete a short relationship attitudes survey to help inform our work as we create new products and services. Click below and complete the survey by June 10th for the chance to win our new Black Love Builds shirt!

In Peace & Love,
