Hi, I’m Alecia Brewster, founder of Eligible.
If we haven’t met yet, let me share a bit of my story.
I’m a peacemaker, a justice seeker, and deeply committed to creating a better world for the next generation. That’s what drives me in all areas of life. So, when my first marriage ended, I chose not to give up on love but to learn, grow, and use my experiences to help myself and others build a legacy of strong, healthy relationships for the generations to come.
Recently, my mentor asked me something profound:
“Will you still be excited about Eligible once you’re married to your forever partner?”
My answer? An emphatic YES!
Eligible is so much more than a way for singles to meet. It is a dream that was once deferred, but by God’s grace, it became something I’ve been able to nurture this past year.
It’s a reflection of my heart’s desire for myself and other Black singles to experience healthy, loving relationships.
Eligible is about building a legacy of love and community together.
